Mosquito
Hill Nature Center - Open year-round, the 430 acre
facility has an art gallery, museum exhibits, and a calendar of
many activities & events. In the summer a butterfly house is
open on a schedule and there
are various hiking/walking trails. A loop trail takes you to a scenic vista
and one trail is paved for accessibility.
When the
snow flies you can cross-country ski or rent snowshoes.
Tubing
& Canoeing - River tubing is a major attraction at New
London. And, a popular place for personal canoeing. Familiar
Grounds is located right on the Embarrass River.
Wolf River Trips
- Provides tube and canoe rentals with a shuttle service to an
access point up the
Little Wolf River in summer. Located 4 miles west of New London on County X (Wolf River Ave).
Shamrock Heights Golf & Supper Club
- Very scenic 18 hole course also has a practice range and
lessons.
Fishing and Boating - With three rivers, boating and
year-round fishing are popular. New London is adjacent to the
Wolf River Fishery Area and the Mukwa Wildlife Area. There are
boat launches, a bait shop, and public docks.
Heritage
Historical Village - Step back in time as you tour historic
buildings and a train station museum. Has a Heritage Days event
in August. Open the 1st and 3rd Sundays June to August.
St.
Patrick's Day Parade & Irish Fest - The city becomes
'New Dublin' each March for a week of entertainment and events
that includes a renown parade and an Irish Fest. View the

Wolf River Theatre - Interesting plays and performances are produced at
various times of the year. Located downtown just a few blocks
from Familiar Grounds.
